TOP 3 FACIAL CLEANSERS

1. Canus Goat Milk Soap
Canus Goat Milk is a great smelling natural soap that contains Lactic Acid, which helps even out and brighten your complexion. It lathers well & is very very creamy. This soap is highly moisturizing, and removes impurities and makeup without drying out my face. It is gentle to use for the whole family & comes in different scents. The company also makes Goat Milk Lotion. A bar of this soap lasts a while and it is not an expensive investment.I find myself reaching for this bar a lot over my other facial products.

2. Clear Essence Blemish Control Wash
This facial cleanser is perfect for anyone of color. This product controls bacteria & oil buildup which helps prevent & get rid of acne. This wash feels very gritty, but nothing harsh. One of the main ingredients in the facial wash is Salicylic Acid. There is a slight-tingy feeling when this product is applied to the face, but nothing major. Another good thing about this product is the fact that it contains sunscreen, so if you have trouble remembering to apply sunscreen this product will be beneficial. I have never had problems wit acne, but this product helps for those occasional bumps that pop up every now & then. My older sister is acne-prone & I always find this facial wash missing from my bathroom because of her (It works excellent for her). The cost of this product varies, but I've never seen it priced above $15.

3. Murad Essential- C Cleanser
This cleanser came out of the Murad SunUndone Kit that I purchased on Amazon.com. After seeing all the positive reviews I decided to give this product a try. The kit guarantees results in 2weeks & in 2weeks I saw a brighter complexion & I also noticed that the dark circles around my eyes had started to disappear. The Essential-C Cleanser is the first step of the Murad SunUndone Kit. The product is clear with tiny yellow beads embedded in. Also, one main ingredient in this product is good ol' Vitamin C. The price of this kit was around $30. (Yes, the items are small, but the kit will last; as I have had this product for 2months & only used about half of each item.)

Instagram: Weave Bob-ing

If you follow me on instagram (Follow me on Instagram: tequilaoverice) you've seen my latest post on my weave bob. (NOTE): I love hair and doing hair, but that will never be my profession. I got the idea for this hairstyle after watching the U-Part Bob YouTube video  from thomasadrianna's  channel. I've always liked bobs, but never had the guts to cut my hair that short.

Adrianna Thomas shows how she created the bob step by step. (I will put the links below). I followed her steps using Sensational Goddess Remy Bump hair & Sensational Goddess Remy 10 inch short; both in a 1B.This hair blended well with my hair texture. I only kept the hair in for about 3 weeks, but I believe this hair would hold up great for longer installs.

Generation M?

Have you heard of Generation M? Today the media influences every female & male of our society in  positive & negative ways. This video clip titled Generation M: Misogyny in Media & Culture - Trailer - Available on DVD shows how the media is influencing women to be sexy & perfect, and how the music industry is influencing males to be "hardcore". This video says it ALL.

Sociology Time: A GIRL LIKE ME

After a day in Social Problems, listening to my teacher slowly ramble on & on about race and racial inequality, she turns on the overhead & plays this clip titled, "A Girl Like Me", which immediately woke up EVERYONE in the classroom. We didn't get to finish this clip in class, but I made sure I finished it at home. This film focuses on the standards that society sets for African American females, and also on how children learn the stereotypes that society sets for different races. The doll experiment conducted in this film was very interesting to me, and I will be conducting the experiment my self & sharing the videos & results with you in a later post. ENJOY!

Acid on our Skin: Perfect Image Lactic Acid Gel Peel

As an inspiring Medical Esthetician, my new interest has fell in the hands of chemical peels. My first facial chemical peel was done at-home by me after doing lots of researching on chemical peels. The product i used was Perfect Image's Lactic 50% Gel Peel. After reading good and bad reviews (more good reviews) I purchased this chemical peel on Amazon.com for around $30.

Calling All Edges: Olive Oil Edge Control vs. Hicks Edges

Olive Oil Edge Control is priced around around $5. Its a very thick product. After applying the gel to my edges my hand felt very sticky, I immediately had to wash them before continuing to do anything else to my hair. It does provide super hold and super shine, but it leaves a white cast on your edges after a few hours. At first it seemed to last me all day, but after using it for about two months I felt as if my edges had gotten "immune" (*laughs at word choice*) to this product. I am transitioning from relaxed to textlaxed, and when the edges go through it this does not work, or should I say this does not last. It works good after I've textlaxed, but after textlaxing I honestly don't need to use gel in the first place. If you dont keep the top tightly on this product then it will turn from clear thick consistency to white mushy consistency.

Hicks Edges is product that guarantees "superior hold, super shine, and no flakiness", and that's exactly what it does. I have been using it when needed for over three months and I haven't experienced any immunity (*yay*). This price of this product runs around $15, and up in some stores. Like the Olive Oil Edge control, this product is clear, but it is not as thick as the Olive Oil Edge Control, and if you don't apply the lid tightly back to this product it will turn white and mushy as well. After applying this product to my edges, it didn't make my fingers feel as sticky as the Olive Oil Edge Control, and after I used this product one day, the next day my edges were still holding up. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Prime Time: My Make-Up Primer Story
My interest in makeup started in the 11th grade, (right after I became a YouTube addict) and came about by watching various YouTube Channels like,  ulovemegzbeautybyjj, and lizlizlive. Everyday I learned something new about makeup and other topics related to beauty and fashion. As a make-up beginner, I thought nothing about the use of a primer, I didn't start using a primer until towards the end of my senior year of high school, as I had found out that a actually using a primer would solve some of my make up problems. Since then I have been on the hunt for makeup primers & my 4th investment was the charm.

My hunt to find the best makeup primer started with Rimmel London's Fix & Perfect Primer 001. Sounds good right? This product is very inexpensive. No lie, when I saw this primer in the store and read smoothes skin and minimize pores, I immediately knew this would be the "Shizzzniieee"! Upon using this product i noticed that it was very thick, and started to cause breakouts on my face (I am not prone to acne or breakouts at all). I just saw this product as being very heavy & after using it for a few days I threw it on my dresser. I haven't touched it since.

Perricone MD Skin & Body

So we all are familar with the various product doctors; i.e, Dr. Miracle, Dr, Bronner, Dr. Gregg, but how many of you are familiar with Dr. Perricone? After various internet searching for reviews about the best supplement(s) for my health. Because of all of the reviews, I decided to give these vitamin packets a try. I was slightly reluctant, due to the fact, that I had purchased a GNC vitamin-pack box similar to this, which gave me absolutely NO results. "The benefit of these vitamins are to work inside out to maintain healthy skin, joints, bones, hair, and nails."  The pack consists of one Omega-3, Derma-Glo, Calcium Magnesium Blend, Skin&Joint Essentials, Rejuvenate, Astaxznthin, and two Super Antioxidant Supplements; 8 supplements in all. After three weeks of consistently taking these I am very happy about making my decision to purchase them.
*Singing* It's my blogggg & I can post what I want to. Post what I want to. Possst what I want to. I welcome all viewers & view-ettes to the blog of junk. At the age of 19, I can honestly say I am a product junkie when it comes to makeup, hair&skin care, vitamin supplements, and loads of other products that are beneficial to our health or a enhancement to beauty. Other than honest product reviews, my blog would consist of post relating to the basics of healthy living, exercising and eating nutritiously. I am an aspiring medical esthetician anxiously waiting to finish up my years at Georgia State University to enroll into the Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics, but my second interest/love & college major, is Sociology; Leading me to  also indulge you into sociological topics, experiments, and statistics that i find interesting and beneficial to your 'nogging box. With that all being said, let the blogging begin.
